The Masahiro 180mm Usuba Sheath is a Ho-wood sheath (or saya) that is very specifically sized by each manufacturer. These fit very tightly and be wary of companies selling generic models for Japanese knives. If it isn't made for your knife, it simply won't fit properly. We suggest using mineral or chamomile oil to saturate the handle of the knife and the saya. This provides protection from staining.
