This truffle slicer is razor sharp and designed to produce very thin slices of truffles or other mushroom varietals. These are really designed for use only on this type of funghi and we would not recommend their use on other items like garlic and ginger. The razor thin edge could be damaged by tougher food products, but it does a masterful job with truffles.
