We've always really liked the Shucker Paddy oyster knives because they provide great leverage in opening oysters without the busted knuckles. This "Malpeque" version is a bit sturdier due to the wider head and decreased shaft length. If you're generally opening tougher, beach-grown oysters, the Malpeque is likely a better option than the Swissmar Universal Shucker Paddy.
