LAMSONSHARP KNIVES

Lamson & Goodnow Manufacturing is one of the oldest cutlers in the U.S., having been in operation since 1837. All of their knives are made and hand finished in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts. This company has made a strong commitment to being environmentally friendly and even operates their own hydro-electric power plant located on the Deerfield River. Lamson knives are drop forged from top quality high carbon stainless steel, fully hardened and tempered to a Rockwell C 52-55. They are made from a single piece of forged steel, with a full tang for strength and balance. The blade is then taper ground with LamsonSharp's unique beveled edge, then honed by hand. When Bon Apptit Magazine made their "top-of-the-line" choices for the ultimate knife set, of the six knives selected, they picked the Lamson 3" paring and the 6" Chef's knife, both with rosewood handles.
