|Comment: I purchased this as a gift for someone after using my own for several years. This is a perfect chopping knife, is much more versatile than its shape might suggest, and is my go-to knife of choice for many tasks. The steel isn't the hardest, so it requires sharpening a bit more often than many knives but it takes an excellent edge (I converted it to the standard right-side 15 degree edge favored by the better Japanese knives) and has a very positive grip with great balance. I love my Shuns and Kasumis, but this is without question one of the finest values in any knife I've tried. Try it and you will love it!
