Susan Lamson, whose husband owned America's oldest cutlery company, was no exception. Over the years of use and sharpening, her knife had been ground to its present shape and size, it became her most useful, and comfortable paring knife. When the unthinkable happened, and Susan's special paring knife finally succumbed to countless of sharpening sessions, Silas Lamson was asked to bring home a new "Used Knife".
